Scent Elimination For Hunting

Scent elimination systems and products such as Moxy, x-system, sprays, clothing are becoming increasingly popular with bowhunters and rifle hunters. Hiding your human scent as much as possible while deer hunting is very important.

Scent-Free Hunting Clothing

Washing your hunting clothing with non-scented, UV free laundry detergent is the first step every hunter should take when it comes to eliminating human scent/odors.

All hunting clothing (including gloves, hats, etc) should be washed together in one seperate laundry load.

Spray all your hunting clothing, gloves, hats, etc with a scent-killing spray immediately after they dry and and store them in air-tight containers or large zip-loc type bags.

Scent-Free Hunting Equipment

Hunting equipment such as bows, rifles, backpacks, tree stands, etc or anything else you carry into the woods should be treated with scent elimination sprays as often as possible.

Always carry a bottle of scent elimination spray while hunting to treat equipment that has been touched with bare hands.

Scent-Free Boots

Hunting boots should be treated like clothing to eliminate foreign odors/scents. Wash your boots with a scent-free soap, allow to dry, then use a cover scent spray over the entire surface area of the boot, including the sole. Store your hunting boots in an air-tight container.

Personal Hygiene For Scent Elimination

Wash yourself as often as possible with scent-free body soap and shampoo. Then use only scent-free deodorants. Never use any cologne, perfumes, etc.

Its impossible to be 100% scent-free, but you should make use of scent elimination products, clothing, systems, sprays, etc, as much as possible to give you any advantage while hunting.
